Gerry Douglas (Director of Brain Time Ltd) offers a counselling service for individuals, couples, family groups, and organisations. His holistic approach takes into account relevant history, and current day challenges and changes.

In addition to carefully listening to your reason(s) for seeking counselling, Gerry will draw attention to your experience of relevant physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual considerations. Very often just providing a non-judgemental opportunity for clients to tell this broader story leads to greater clarity, an increase in morale, and consequently being more empowered to chart a positive way ahead.

Reasons for seeking counselling frequently include one or more of the following:

  • Anger problems

  • Anxiety, and/or on-going worries

  • Compulsive behaviours

  • Depression

  • Educational/school troubles, including learning disabilities such as ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia

  • Mood swings

  • Parenting and/or child/teenage developmental issues

  • Post Concussion Syndrome

  • Relationship challenges -couples, families, or work-related

  • Spiritual growth and transformation

  • Traumatic experiences (recent, and historic)

Gerry uses a range of approaches, including:
